Southern Girls Challenge #2

Wow!! What an amazing number of entries we had for our first challenge, we couldn't believe it!! Thank you all for your support, we loved all your wonderful creations and can't wait to see what you come up with this week. Suppose I should tell you the challenge, huh?? Ok, well this week we want to see you recycle some old jewelry...fantastic for charms(hint, hint)

So, here is my Bee Tilda, isn't she a cutie! This little girl has been colored up for ages, and I was gonna make a bookmark with her, but I got the white sparkly cut out behind her and it reminded me of a cloud and a card emerged. This was also just gonna be black, yellow, and white, but I got that blue behind her and thought it looked so pretty. Basically this is nothing like I had envisioned, lol! In case you didn't figure it out that little heart WAS my earring. Don't know if you can tell, but there are stickles around the CS borders and on the sentiment. Rhinestones were applied with my I-Rock....def a fav tool!

Here is the little sweetie close up. Sorry I don't know the colors since she's been inked up for some time. There are stickles on the wings and I think you can see that the white paper is sparkly. The yellow ribbon is from my stash.

Close up of the charm...why have I never thought of this idea, I have sooo much jewelry as I haven't really worn it since having kids.

Pretty flowers are from Wild Orchid and are stickled.

Think that about covers it, the CS is DCWV Citrus Stack. Oh' I forgot to mention the prize...For NZ/Aus the sponsor is Embellish It and for INT some fabulous images from Digital Delights. Thanks for stopping by I hope you've enjoyed my card today. Make sure you stop by and see what the rest of the DT gals have come up with...can't wait to see what you all make!
See you at Southern Girls and Good Luck!
Have a fabulous day!

Lexi's Creations #23- Picture Perfect

Hello Everyone! It's time again for another challenge over at Lexi's and this week we want to see you use a picture in your creation. This weeks sponsor is Letraset and the winner will receive a set of Promarkers. On to my Picture Perfect project then...
I decided this time around to get some much needed Scrapbooking done, so here is darling son #2 at the age of 3 checking out a fallen leaf. We were out taking annual pics...I find it's best to let them do their thing and talk and snap, then I usually get some good pics...anyway, I just love the expressions on his face and had to keep these!
I had to use the camera phone again, so the pics are kind of shotty, but here's a little closer view and my hidden message tag. My handwriting is really just not fabulous these days, so I like to find ways to leave messages where my writing won't distract from the page, lol. I should also note that I followed a sketch over at Practical scrappers
Here is a close-up of Lexi's wonderful sentiment...think I'll be be using this one a lot with three boys running around my house! Ok, well, that's it for me, be sure to stop by Lexi's and see what they have some up with...some fabulous creations this week so you won't want to miss out. Hope you've enjoyed my project, thanks for stopping by!
Have a fabulous day!

Creative Inspirations #43

Hey all! It's time again for another challenge at Creative Inspirations and this week we want to see pink and black I've been suffering from loss of mojo lately, sorry I have not posted in a while, but my last couple of DT projects have come together nicely, so hopefully it's back. Anyway, our sponsor this week is the wonderful Bugaboo Stamps and they are offering the winner 7, yes i said 7, digis of their choice...WooHooo! Ok, then, on to my card....
I've actually had this little cutie colored up for a while, but didn't quite know what to do with her...Hurray for a Pink and black challenge!!! I tried a few new things with this one! Been seeing people use feathers and I've been wanting to try and this paper just seemed perfect for a feather embellishment! The papers are Glitz, but I "had" to add some pink and black swirlies cause the pink on the paper was a lighter color and I wanted more dark to match her dress. Some of the swirls were already there, so I can't take credit for all of it, but I think you can tell what I did. I also made the little pearl swirlies with my new I-Rock...Love it! Those pearls really aren't that white though, my camera is in the shop and I had to use a cell, sorry.
Here's a little close-up of those feathers, and I made those pins too...had that stuff laying around forever, just haven't gotten around to using them, lol. I followed the sketch at Stampavie and that's about it. OH' the oval thing was cut with my circut and the Lacey Labels cart. Hope you have enjoyed my project today, I'll be back tomorrow with a SB layout...shocker there, but I do miss scrapbooking, so hopefully you'll see some more of that. Anyway, make sure to check to see what the rest of the DT has come up with, then lets see what you got!
Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Lexi's Creations #22 -Flower Power

Hello Everyone! Hope you all have had a fabulous weekend! It's time again for another challenge over a t Lexi's and this week we want to see flowers! Doesn't matter what kind, just so long as they're on there. The sponsor this week is the fabulous Joanna Sheen and she is giving out a 10 voucher to her store. Now, my card...

This week with the exception of the new DT Members we are all showcasing NEW sentiments by Lexi, found here, and beautiful flowers from a store called Craft Brulee. This sentiment of Lexi's is from one of my favorite scriptures found in 1 Corinthians 13. The flower I used is a gorgeous fabric flower and it's huge, so I decided to go CAS with this one. Once I finally decided on papers for this it all came together pretty quickly, so that was a nice change of pace for me this week. My DPs are SEI a pack I won from Suzanne Dean, thanks Suzanne, and the pink cardstock is DCWV spring stack, and that's pretty much it, easy peasy! I hope you have enjoyed my card and will play along with us in this challenge and due check out Lexi's new sentiments and these beautiful flowers, you won't be disappointed! Make sure you check out what the rest of the DT has to show you. Have a fab day!
Thanks for stopping by!

Lady Tilda

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a fabulous day! It is a holiday weekend here in the U.S. and I'm actually out having some fun family time today! However, I do have a job to do and it's challenge day at Creative Inspirations , so lucky for you(and me) we can schedule our posts. This time around at Creative Inspirations we want to see shaped cards. This challenges sponsor is Fantastic Ribbons! Now, on to the card...

I have built Lady Tilda a castle!!! I got this fabulous image from my sweet friend Loz, thanks Loz, and it was between her and Tilda with apple, but my 4yr old assured me that this was the ONE!! I don't know where I get these crazy shaped card ideas from, but the thought popped into my head and it wasn't leaving until I tried it out! I knew I could use my cricut to cut out the pieces, but what about paper?? Hmmm, I don't know. Nothing seems right to me but brick and I don't have that, soooo...onto my photo program I go and make my own. Don't worry, I didn't draw out all those little bricks, that was actually a texture in my program, I just had to find just the right colors and figure out how to add them in. I think it turned out well.

Now, the really fun part, it's an easel card! This part took a little ingenuity on my part, but I've always been into figuring out how things work so it didn't take too long. Ok, so you can't tell, but there are three separate layers to this castle and each is on 1/16" pop-up squares. Sorry I didn't photo that, I can be a doof sometimes and I don't have time to do it now. I thought the castle would look kind of cool if it looked like ivy was all over it so I found a small leafy stamp and stamped around the edges of my castle pieces. I thought the tops of the tears so should look weathered so I distressed them with sandpaper and then colored over it all with Copics W7,5,&3 The fading on the castle is actually the paper itself...thought that would be easier then coloring it all. You also may be able to tell that this looks a little glossy and it is. I had a bit of water splash onto one of my castle layers and had to redo it, so I sprayed the whole thing with a clear top coat

Here is a close-up of lady Tilda and the layer behind her so you can see the ivy a little better. The pearls are from my stash and I colored them with W1 so they would match better. So, that's it, hope you have it enjoyed my card today sorry it's been such a wordy post...I didn't want to leave anything out. I haven't gotten the inside done yet, but I've got to make something on my computer and I ran out of time, I'll try to have it posted on here b4 the weekend is up. Ok, again, I'm sorry about the wordiness, but I hope you liked it all the same. If I've left anything out please feel free to ask and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Have a great day!
xxAutumn

Raise the Bar Guest DT

Happy Friday Everyone! I know I've been a little AWOL lately, but I've got all this DT work I've got to do before I can get on to "my" stuff, and quite frankly I'm a bit of a slow crafter, but pretty soon you'll be tired of seeing my cards, lol. Anyway, you may remember last week I made top 3 at Raise the Bar and that got me a guest DT spot for this week, thanks Joni! Ok, so the theme this week is "U R" Looking Good and what that means is make a card based on your blog...how cool is that...I thought it was just a fab idea! I MAY have gone a little overboard here, but I love the card so you'll just have to live with it! :) Sooo, here's my card...
OMGosh, I had sooo much fun making this card...well, except when I ran out of tape, lol! You may be thinking this looks nothing like my blog, sorry, I don't have polka dot papers in my stash. However, I did use colors that you can find on my blog and I think my blog is a little shabby chic like this card(i think). My layout does follow the current CLP sketch( well, I added the flowers and butterflies, but otherwise were good). Sorry I forgot to get a pic of that sketch, but you can find it here.

This is Tilda with Peony from the wedding collection...had this one stamped out for forever and she just called out to me for this! She is colored with copics which I will list later and though you can't tell very well in the photo(if you look closely by the white flower you can tell a little bit) I pinked up her background with pebbles chalk.

These awesome butterflies were made with my cricut Lacy Labels cart, as was the sentiment. Those pretty DP's are from the Basic Gray Porcelain collection.

"The Flowers" Oh' how I agonized over these! This grouping consists of Magnolia, Prima, and Wild Orchid flowers. The other 'stuffing's' are from my local Hobby Lobby...I practically live at that place, lol! Well, that's it, I'm done I hope you liked it! I will be back tomorrow with my first Creative Inspirations post and I think you're gonna like that one, well, I hope so at least, so stay tuned. Thanks for stopping by!

Have a FAB day!
