Hello there!! Welcome to my first Inspirational post for Simply Sassy. We don't have the new stamps yet but we were too excited to get started so we thought we'd start out showcasing some of the older ones. I've got a lot of pics for you today, so I'll keep it short and sweet. Here's my card...
I just love this Fairy Tale image, she is def my fav....probably has something to do with my mom always putting me in dresses(seriously, I didn't wear pants to school until 3rd grade). Not to mention dress-up was my favorite thing to play and oh how my mother indulged me by buying fancy dresses on clearence at bridal shops. Yes, I was spoiled, I'll admit it.
Ive been seeing these different sort of easel cards around and I've been wanting to try it out fora while, so I thought what better time then now. I couldn't decide what pic was better , so above is the side view and here's the front view...
These fab papers are Basic Gray's Cappella and they are sooo pretty! I've distressed all the edges with my Tim Holtz distressing tool and then colored the edges with a couple of copics. I've also colored the pearls and the two small flowers with copic( these match much better IRL)
Here's your close-up! I'm working on my darker skin tones and I absolutely LOVE how she turned out! I think I will stick with these color choices...if I can rememberwhat they were, lol. Doesn't her hair look fab in those dark browns! Oh' what i would give to have some color to my skin, but no, I'm about as white as you can get and of course I couldn't get a tan to save my life!!
Anyway, sorry for blabbing, here's the inside. I'm starting to second guess that button...it's looking very out of place to me now. I already took it off once and tried some flowers, but they sat too high. Hmmmmm, will have to think about it. There is a LOT of distressing going on on the indside of this card and I just kept adding different colors til I was satisified, so I have no clue what to tell you about that. All the embellishments here are from my stash.
Almost forgot, here's the copics...
Ok, well, I think that about does it. Sorry if I blabbered on there...so much for the short and sweet 'eh. Well, I hope you liked my card and plese don't forget to stop by the Simply Sassy blog and see what the other girls have been up to this week, you won't want to miss out!
Thanks for stopping by!
