Simply Illuminating...

Hello lovely people!  How are you all today? Well, I hope. It's pretty late at night here and I didn't sleep well last night, so I'm not gonna blather on and just get to it if that's ok.
Here...

....is my Illuminating project. I really wanted to step away from cards for a change and thought this little cutie...'Secret Santa' is her name, would be perfect. I decided to go with traditional Christmas colors this time around and I'm very happy I did!
Oh' I would like to add that one I got her on her my DD came over to me at my table and said" Look, Mom, a princess!", it was sooo cute. I can't believe she only just turned two. Maybe your children said all kinds of stuff, but rest assured my boys were not talking like that at her age,lol I really love just watching and listening to her. Lately she's even been thanking me for doing her hair, isn't that cute :)
Ok, ok, I said I was gonna keep it short. So I took a bunch of pics of this and really couldn't decide which one I liked the best, so here are a couple more views...

It's kind of an awkward shape to photograph. So, um, I guess I should also note that those flowers were colored to match and that trim is from my local hobby store. I've placed rhinestones all the way around the  candle...which is battery operated I forgot to mention, so here is the back view...

So, that should do it. If you ever decided to make one of these I def recommend using the battery operated ones as there are more decorating options and you can give them to younger children as well. I personally live in tornado alley(power outages are common), so it's really a great idea for all my children to have access to something like this. If you wanna check my post at the Sassy Dt blog I've left some short instructions there.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

  1. Love the traditional colours - this reminds me of the Scandinavian Christmas candles. Love the rhinestones & the trim around the base. It is almost July here & I've had to put the heating on! Enjoy your little girl - thanks for sharing yoru delight.
