Vintage Tilda

Well, I guess it's technically Tuesday now...took me a little longer than I thought to finish this, but it's my 1st vintage card, so it needed a little extra care.

Here she is in all her glory! This is Romantic Tilda from the new wedding collection, and I just love her! The moment I saw this I knew I had to have it! No, I'm not like that with all of them, lol! Isn't she just darling though!
I'm not for sure about the embellies here, but I don't think it's too bad. I frayed the edges of the papers with my scissors, then inked them with a mixture of brown and green...after that, I stitched around them. I didn't have any matching thread, so I used white and chalked over it in a light olive green. This card also follows the sketch at Just Magnolia this week.

Here is a close-up of the adorable Miss Tilda! I had soooo much fun coloring her! I know she's a little monochromatic, but I really wanted to use that color for her dress, and I couldn't think of a color I'd like to go with it. It's not very often I use pink, so I'm allowed to indulge on occasion! Tilda's background and shadow have been made using chalks in a light and dark green. The chalks were set with hairspray.

In case you're interested, a close-up of the flowers. The centers of these flowers are roses from Wild Orchid and I've inked up the edges and sprayed them with glimmer mist. The bottom of the flowers are from here. That awesome little butterfly is something I got from my dear friend Loz...Thanks Loz, you're a sweetheart!

Copics used

Let's see, I think I've covered most of it. The papers are K&Company, the pink velvet ribbon is from MME and the lace is from Hobby Lobby. Pearls are some cheapies also from Hobby Lobby. Well, that should do it. Hope you have enjoyed my card today. Thanks for stopping by!

Have a wonderful Day!

Lexi's Creations #17- 3D

Happy Monday!!! It's time again for another challenge over at Lexi's and as you may have read in my title we wanna see some 3D. Easy, peasy...Buttons, flower, raised images, whatever sticks out on your card! The sponsor this week is One Stop Card Crafts and the winner gets a 10 voucher for their store! So, without further delay, here is my card

I used acetate for the front of my card and it's a little difficult to photograph, so I apologize for the poor photo. Anyway, I've used one of Lexi's new images called Splashin and you can get that here.

Here's my 3D view...there's 3layers there!

Close-up of Splashin image

Here's the Inside. Not much, but I thought the sentiment on the front would make more sense if I showed you the inside. Well, that's it for me for now. Make sure to stop by and see what the rest of the DT is has in store for you.
Have a great day!

Kenny K's DT Call

Hey, everybody! Have you heard about the new artist in town??

Kenny K is his name, and he's having a DT call! OMGosh, these images are soooo cute, I just love them! I'm posting this towards the end of the call, but there's still a little time if your interested...you can find the info here. So, Kenny wants us to link up some of what we think is our best stuff. This was tough for me as I like so many for different reasons. However, Kenny's qualifications include that coloring must be a strong suit, so I've tried to pick cards that best show my coloring skills.

First up is a card I made for a TGF challenge

This is a side-step card, my first, and I love it!
You can see more pics and get more info on this card here.

Second, the pop-up card I made for SMC.

I loved making this card, it was so much fun to create that scene...and have it turn out!
You can find more pics here.

Lastly, a couple of Magnolia's.
I couldn't decide which of these I like better, so here they both are.
You can find out more about these here, and here.
If you wanna see some of Kenny's awesome digi's go here.
Have a great day!

Lasting Memories-New scrapbooking Challenge

Hey everyone. There's a new scrapbooking challenge starting up! The challenge is called Lasting Memories and you can get all the details here. The owner is having a DT call right now, so I thought I'd give it a go. I really want/need to get more scrapping done and lately all I've been doing is making cards. So, what better to get me in gear than to be on a DT...gotta get it done then, lol! Anyway, were supposed to post some samples of our work for this, so here are mine.

Sorry these pics are not that great...it was late when I took them, but I didn't want to wait as I would most likely forget(Friday is a busy day for me) and I def didn't want to do that. For me, scrapbooking is all about the pictures! I want to get as many in there as I can, with some embellies, but not an overwhelming amount. So I guess I am a CAS scrapbooker...what do ya know, that's how I make my cards too, lol! I also prefer two-page layouts. I take a lot of pics so it usually takes that much to get in all the photos I want. If I did one photo per page like some people I'd have hundreds of pages in my books! So, those are layouts I've come up with myself here and here are some examples of what I've done following sketches

SMC Challenge #19 Anything Goes

Hurray, it's Friday, and time for another SMC challenge. This week Anything Goes folks, so let's see what you got! This weeks sponsor is Stitchy Bear Stamps and the winner will receiver 3 free digis from them.

Here is what I've come up with this week. If you were here at all earlier in the week you know I ran out of Neenah paper for copics. On Tuesday, I decided I needed to start thinking of what else I could do. Coloring on craft paper is what I came up with. I wouldn't have thought of this on my own...it just happens to be the challenge at copic creations right now.

Here is a close-up of the top of the box and the image I used called ' Hershey Praying' available at Sew Many Cards. I just love this image, it is so precious! I envisioned this little girl looking outside her window, toward Heaven, saying her prayers before bed. I didn't have a window , so I drew one myself. I've added little bit's of stickles to her where I thought the light might hit her. The little pink dots on the border of the box are pink stickles. With the top of this being craft, I really didn't think it looked right with bunches of stuff around it so I kept it pretty simple. There is a drawer that opens, sorry I forgot to photograph that...I will try to do that later.
Well, I think that about covers it. I'm sorry, I completely forgot to write down my copics. I believe the purples were V17,15,&12. The Pinks are R81, 83, &85. I do not remember the browns or her hair colors. The blues in the window are B99, 95, &93. Oh, i should also mention I put a clear gloss on the window so it would look more like a real window. Ok, now I'm done, lol! Make sure you stop by the rest of the DT blogs and see what they've come up with.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Hershey Bath from SMC

Hey all! Today I have Hershey Bath from SMC to share with you. I have been working on this card all day and though I thought it was going it be a cinch to put together, it proved quite difficult. I had it colored and the papers picked out before I started today, but it was just not coming together the way I saw it in my head. UUggghhh, don't you hate it when that happens. Anyway, here is the card.

This is a gate-fold card, my first, and I don't think it turned out too bad. I have stitched around the image and the DP and added some brads. All of the papers have been distressed and inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in vintage photo. I'm sure this could use some more embellies, but I was striking out with everything I tried, but that could just be because I was looking at the thing off and on all day, lol. I may have to revisit this one later. I had to think outside the box this week as I had earlier told you I ran out of Neenah paper. By Tuesday I figured I had to come up with something, so I printed this out on craft paper and gave it a go. I discovered you could do this st the copic creations blog and of course the DT make it look really easy, but for someone who's only been using copics for a few month I did find it a bit difficult.

Here's the inside. I know there's still a lot to be done, but it will wait till I find something to use it for. I can see really liking this type of card and I'll have to try another one soon! The bulk of this is made out of craft paper the one DF is some really old DCWV. the bubbles are a mixture of a white paint pen and stickles and I've even glossed up the water on the bottom below the tub.
Well, that about covers it. I'll be back real soon with anther SMC project.

Tulle Skirt Tilda

Hello everyone! Today I have another Maggie for you! I just got this stamp in the mail on Saturday and I had to find a way to get it colored...I'm out of my Neenah paper...uuugghhh! Anyway, I keep every scrap of that stuff that I don't use, and managed to find a piece big enough to stamp this darling little girl!

I based this card off of a sketch(shown below) from Stampin For The Weekend. They were also having a color challenge of Yellow and Blue...hence the colors.

I am not completely sold on this card, but if I stare at it any longer I'll probably end up really screwing the thing up and I put a lot into coloring it, so I don't want to do that.

Here's a close-up of Tilda. I've actually got a bunch of stickles on there, but they are not showing up very well. The little fence I have her sitting on is from the Spring Swiss Pixies set from C.C. Designs. I have attached Tilda with a hot glue gun... first making small beads so she sticks out a bit from the fence. I actually stamped that fence on DCWV cardstock from the Garden Party stack...it's got a blueish tint to it if you can't see. This was the first time I've done that and I'm a little surprised it worked.

Here's a close-up of the flowers...I've got stickels on them too~ The flowers are from Wild Orchid and the little swirly things were made from their stems...I wrapped them around a pencil to shape. I thought the swirlies looked ok as is, but then I thought they might look kind of pretty with some pearls. What do you think, the pearls ok?

Well, I think that about covers it for my card. The papers are all plain card stock...the white and yellow were embossed with my cuttlebug. Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you are having a wonderful day!

SMC #18- Fancy Fold with a theme

TGIF!!! Hello everyone!! It's time again for another challenge over at Sew Many Challenges. This week we want to see a Fancy Fold with a 4th of July/Americana/Military theme. The sponsor this week is McMahon Five Designs and the winner will receive a $15 store voucher. WOW, how about that! If you're not familiar with their work be sure to check them out and I will also have a sample for you in a few days. On to the card then!

Since I had no clue what to make for a 4th of July card I decided on a military theme...something I know all too well, and a Joy Fold Card. I followed these instructions here, but I tweaked it a little for my size of card.

My image is Army Baby from Sew Many Cards. Isn't he just the cutest! What an adorable little guy! I've actually got pictures quite similar to this, I may be using this one in a scrapbook!

The copics in the last cube there are the ones I used...sorry I didn't get that edited. The papers are just plain cardstock from different companies. The dog-tag stickers I've had around for a while. That's it for now. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks for stopping by,
xxAutumn

Hello Butterfly...

Good evening all! I was hoping to have this on a little sooner, but I was having difficulty finding my mojo today. Hope you all have been having a wonderful week and have a great weekend a head! Today's card is 'Jayden with Butterfly' from Sew Many Cards.

My card follows the sketch below from The Pink Elephant. I hope I have made it close enough to the sketch.

Here is a close-up of Jayden.

Jayden is colored with copics, but the blue sky background is chalk. I think I may have overdone it a little on the lower shading, but live and learn, I guess...I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon enough. Well, I guess that's it for now. I'll be back real soon with our next SMC challenge!
Thanks for stopping by!

Diaper Cake

Have you heard of a diaper cake? Have you seen how expensive they are? Unbelievably expensive!! I'd never actually seen one, but my mom-in-law is always buying them for people. I had a baby shower to go to this past weekend and I thought, I wonder how hard it is to make one of those things...not hard at all. I think the most difficult part wast getting all those diapers to stay rolled up. Anyway, you'd probably see something like this selling for like $75,
I made it for $25

Here's what it looked like wrapped up. I really wasn't sure how to present this, but the site I looked at to get ideas said they came wrapped in tulle...so I decided to go with that.
Well, I just thought I'd share this cause
I think they're pretty cool and so simple to make you all should know.

Have a good night, I'll be back tomorrow with another card.

Bee-utiful Day!

Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a good Monday. It was rainy and yucky all day here, but I did get to take DS#2 to the doctor to find out that his collar bone is all healed! Yay, for him! OMGoodness, today, I awoke to my son's saying, "we found the cat, she's in our room!" For reasons beyond me they're a little scared of her, but anyway, she's a cat that kind of adopted us so she mostly stays in the garage. We discovered a bit ago that she is most likely pregnant...she was looking quite thin this morning, so after some searching I found 4 kittens under my sons bed...he has a drawer under there. What a day so far! Ok, ok sorry for the blabbering, here is my card.

The adorable images used on this card are from The Cutting Cafe` our current SMC challenge sponsor. The words are from the Bug Circle Words collection and the bee is from the Cute Critters collection. My card follows the sketch at Paper Sundaes(i did add the embellies to the upper corners)...this is one of my new favs, so simple even I couldn't mess it up, and doesn't it make a nice little card.

Here is a close-up of the little bee. I opted to leave him black and white as I thought it would look good against a yellow sparkly flower...I think I was right. That flower was cut with my Create a Critter cartridge, I put stickles on the bee's wings, and embossed the white paper with my cuttlebug. Ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and the black rhinestones are from Kaisercraft. That's it for me for now, but I'll be back later with pics of the Diaper Cake I made for the baby shower I went to on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and make sure to enter our ABC christmas themed challege at SMC for your chance to win some of the awesome digis from

Have a great day!

Lexi's Creations #16- Something Old

Good morning Everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend! It's Monday, and time for another challenge at Lexi's Creations! The week we want you to use something old. The sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen and she has donated 10 voucher for her store.

I have used one of Lexi's new images this week...she is called Chin Lan, and you can get her here. My something old is my paper...had this pack for ages and when I saw this image I new it would be perfect for this paper.
This card follows a sketch at Create 4 Fun. I wanted her to have very light skin, so I used E50 &51 for her skin and her dress was colored with C1. You can't see it in the pic, but I also glimmered her dress and the background. The flowers and ribbon are from my stash and the pearls are Basic Gray.
Well, that's it for me for now. Hope you all have a great day and I'll be back tomorrow! Don't forget to stop by the rest of the DT to see their fab creations!

Barely Mine Digi Paper Release

Barely Mine is having a new digi paper release tomorrow, the 12th. Two cute new sets, and she's giving each away to one random winner! Stop by to check out these awesome papers and see how you can win!

Elf Tilda

Today I finally have another Maggie for you! I gonna try to make these more often and will start coloring them up today, so be prepared. Anyway, I started this in hope that it would be done on time to get into the Just Magnolia challenge, but I ran out of time. Never fear, I can enter other challenges! So, on with it then!

I made this an easel card and used one of my new maggies so it can go into the Manolia-licious Birthday Bash challenge. This first bit of this went pretty easily, but after I got the corners and the circle for her background done it was a little slow going. Using these little flowers is brand new to me and I'm trying to get a feel for using more embellishments, so that took me a while. Just to note, the whole front face of this card is on tiny 1/16" pop-up dots...it's actually pretty neat looking!

Here is a close-up of Tilda. Those pretty flowers you see are from Wild Orchid...Love them! If you've been wondering about them but were sure about shipping and such, do order them, they are so reasonably priced and the shipping in probably less than what you'd spend having it whipped from the states...I actually could've doubled my order for and had no change in shipping...but I'm tryng out this new thing, not using credit cards, so I couldn't...but, I will be saving up for next time!

Here is the inside. I kept it pretty simple and haven't written anything as I don't know what this will be used for. However, I've thought of tons of little things I could write to go along with the 'A Little Sparkle' that's on the front. Well, that's about it, I hope you've enjoyed my little Tilda and are having a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!

SMC #17 - Christmas ABC

It's Friday, and that means time for a new challenge at Sew Many Challenges! This week we want to see a Christmas themed anything but a card! Our sponsor this week is The Cutting Cafe` and the winner will receive three sets from them.

Miki Angel from Sew Many Cards

I decided to make a little tag. I think this image is so adorable, and who doesn't need tags at Christmas! I created the tag using my software and shrinking Miki down a bit. For the one with the snowflake background I printed the tag on that paper then printed out the white on , colored Miki, then cut him out and put him on the snowflake paper tag...took me about 10min. Thought I should show you one not paper-pieced as well so that's what the other one is. Don't you just love what you can do with digi's! I really like how this turned out and I think I will be using him to make some name and address labels as well. Well, that's it for me, make sure to stop by and see what the rest of the DT has for you!

Explosion Box with Miki

Well, I've been working hard this week, and I hope it shows. I feel like my craftiness has been a bit lacking lately and I thinks it's because I've been so rushed to get things done that I can't think straight. Anyway, life has finally calmed down a bit and I decided that it was ok for me to go out, ALONE, and color for a bit on the weekends...I think this will help me loads! Okay, enough about that and on to the project!

I have a lot of pic's so I'll try to keep this short. This is the box closed...A view from the top and the side. I've made and octagon exploding box...in case this is looking a little weird to you.

I first saw this box here and the lovely lady who made it posted the link the instructions which can be found here. This was tons of fun to make!

Take the top off and poof....look what happens! I have arranged the boxes unevenly so that it looks a bit like a flower when it opens...I think this is really cool! I couldn't get this under my Ott Lite, so the lighting here is not great, but at least you get the concept.

Last but not least, here is a close-up of the adorable 'Miki with Love Blocks' from Sew Many Cards that I put on the inside. Well, I have to say that surprisingly this came out just as I had envisioned...better even! I actually did set aside all the colors I used for this, but forgot to photograph them....I will try to do it later.

I had originally thought this could be something I could give to my husband, but the more I got into it the more girly it became, lol! I like to give just because gifts so I think I will save it and give ti to a close girl friend of family member...my husband would not appreciate this at all! All the papers I used are from the BoBunny persuasion line. I hand made the flower on top...it's been sitting around for while. The sentiment on the tag is handwritten and the pink lace is from MME Laundry Line.

I think that about does it for all the info. Hope you've enjoyed my project! If I can get the time, I'll have a Maggie for you tomorrow and Friday it's time for another SMC challenge, so stay tuned! Have a great day!

Beach Baby

Today, I am showcasing an adorable image from SMC's sponsor this week: The Stamping Boutique. They have tons to choose from over there so be sure to check them out and enter the SMC challenge for your chance to win!

Beach Baby With Hat

Image Close-Up

When I got this image I was both excited and terrified! I love it, but I have never colored in something so detailed and I wasn't sure I was gonna be able to do this justice. I don't think it turned out too bad, although I'm still not certain about the sun. This took me quite some time to color...I'm a bit of a slow colorer, lol...but I quite enjoyed it!

After I completed the front of this card I decided it would make a cool easel card, so I decided to turn it into one. I have to say, I'm really lovin the pink, black, and white together; so I think I'm gonna have to make a card with those colors soon!

Here is the inside of the card using my first computer generated sentiment, yay! As usual I cut the paper the size I wanted before thinking of doing this, but I found a solution...one everyone already knows about, I'm sure. I printed this off on test paper then aligned my small paper up with where i wanted it printed and taped the two together and printed...so easy, why did I not think of that before???

Here are the colors I used. Well, most of them, I cannot seem to find one of my blues B32, but other than that they should all be there. Well, that's it for me today, I will also be entering this into some challenges...one of which is a new challenge they have at The Stamping Boutique...It's a month long challenge and all you have to do is use a TSB image and the random will will receive 5 free images. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed my card and don't forget you still have a couple more days to enter at SMC for a chance to win some of these beauties!

Have a great day!
