Pretty in pink!!

Hello Everyone!! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I spent Saturday shopping for my oldest son's birthday...he'll be 9 on Friday, boy where does the time go?? Sunday was a pretty relaxing day though and that was nice for a change. Ok, so be fore I REALLY begin I wanted to let you know I'm getting ready to leave again so the posts are probably going to be pretty sparse for a while. I leave in one week and will be gone for two, so I will have my regular posts for the Sassy DT and that will probably be it, sorry.  Ok, now, on to better things. Here's my card for this weeks Sassy inspiration...

and this is 'City Girl'. Krista has really come up with some great images for the teens and preteens in our lives hasn't she!! I know it's pink and black again, but I promise you won't see this combo for a while. I really feel like I'm finally getting some mojo back, so hopfully my upcoming cards will inspire you more.

Today's card uses Teresa Collins papers, WOC flowers, Whimsy sentiment, Stickles galore, and a few other odds and ends form my stash.

Here's the Sugar bowl sketch that I followed...so loved that this was easy to do and my papers really fell together. I buy a lot of paper packs and I expect the papers to go together and often I find that's not the case...at least not to me(I"m really picky) so I def love that these all work so well together.

Here's a closer view of City Girl. As you can see she's been stickled herself and the edging was done with a cat's eye silver ink pad and more stickles. I've given her a more ethnic skin tone and black hair(because I think it looks better with black paper, i know, I have issues) and she looks like she's ready for a girls night out!

Well, that's all for me today, remember to check out that Sugar bowl challenge as there's always awesome prizes up for grabs. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Super Edwin!

Hello my blogging friends! Today I bring you a rare treat...something I've done just because, lol. This summer has been soo busy for me and there are so many things I wanted to do and didn't get done I'm now anxious for school to start so I can have some free time during the day to work on them. At any rate my son's birthday is next weekend  and I'm getting ready to leave town for a bit, so I thought I better get a head start on it.  I noticed a masking challenge going on over at TOMIC and decided I wanted to join in. Here's what I came up with...

I just got these two in the mail and my boys(all three of them) are all about super hero's so I new I HAD to have this Edwin.  The rocket ship was just too cool too and now I'm wishing I would've also gotten the moon...doesn't it just figure, but as you can see I made due w/o it.

So obviously since it's for a boy I couldn't girly it all out...although truth be told he probably wouldn't mind a few jems on there, lol. I figured though that glitter is still pretty universal and that would jazz it up a bit. I liked the idea of stars and then remembered I'd gotten some with some Christmas buttons I'd purchased and they matched and added some much needed dimension.

Here's a closer view of how I've colored him. I'm a huge Superman fan and wanted this to be a little more original, so I decided on mostly blue and yellow with some red accents and I love how it turned out. Sorry I don't have the colors as I was keeping them but then I got totally sidetracked with something I HAD to try today and my colors got all mixed up.

I will show you this...

...almost finished inside. I have some sentiments around here that will be perfect for this, I just gotta find them.  They are actually something I got for my kids to use and I'm pretty sure I've remembered where they are at, but it's gonna take some digging so this is it for now.

Well, that's all for today, I hope you have enjoyed my Edwin.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Tune Time

Hello my wonderful blogging friends! Today I'd like to introduce you to 'Lost in Music'

Isn't she just a doll. She is so me when I was younger too. I was either listening to it or it was just running through my mind. My mom was always making fun of me for dancing around the house to the music in my head...I still do it,lol

Anyway, here's my card...

These pretty papers are a mix from Sassafrass and I've colored her with copics to match. She looks like she's off in dream land to me, so I thought the dream sentiment seemed fitting. The sewint was done with my sew easy tool and some glittery floss they sell.

Lastly, here are my copics...

The pink was a mix of  R22,20,00 then I added RV10 cause it wasn't quite pink enough.

That's all for me today. There's another header challenge going on at the Sassy DT blog so be sure to stop by  there and check out the deets if you'd like the chance to win a spot.

Thanks for stopping by!

Southern Girls Challenge #25

Hello Lovely people! It's challenge time again over at Southern Girls and this time around the theme is Black and White with a Splash of color. If you follow my blog you can probably guess what my splash of color is lol, but I did at least accomplish a first for this card. So here it is...

Black and White and a little pink as you may have guessed. My first was the pink hair and I gotta say, I really enjoyed giving her pink hair...I will def be doing more of that in the future. I really thought I was in trouble when I started this card cause I couldn't find any black and white papers, but then I remembered I had these BoBunny papers and though I loathe cutting them up to make cards I haven't scrapbooked in ages so I figured at least it was getting used this way. You would not believe the stock piles of expensive papers I have just sitting there wiating to be used, well, maybe you would, lol. We all seem to be paper addicts.

Ok, well, I got this adorable image from one of our sponsors Pink Cat studios and our other sponsor is Sassy Studio. So, stop by the Southern Girls blog and see the rest of the DT inspiration and have a look at what else you could have a chance at wining and who knows, if you join in maybe you'll find yourself doing something new too!

That's all for today. I'll be back tomorrow with my Sassy for the week and hopefully Friday with another little card for you. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Strike a pose!!

Hello lovely people!! I'm runing a little behind this week, it's been kind of hectic, but here I am with my Sassy for the week and it's the fabulous Strike a pose....

and I followed this wonderful sketch from the current Sugar Bowl challenge...

As you can see I turned it to make it work for me, but I like how it turned out in the end. The optional theme for this challenge is lace, so I added some of that too and even spruced it up with some feathers and made a lace flower to top it off. The papers are pretty busy and so is her outfut, so I didn't want to put a whole lot on there so I just added a few rhinestones and then done.

Here's a closer view. I wanted to do something a little different with her, thuse the black hair which I do struggle with, but I don't think she turned out too bad. That's gonna be it for me today I'm going to enter this into the Sugar bowl challenge and there's still some time if you want to joing in too.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
