Simply Sweet Sundae!

Hello everyone, I hope your Monday is going well. DD is still sleeping, so I gotta say I'm happy...I really function better with a little time to myself in the morning. Anyway, today I've made a fun card...

... using the fabulous new Sassy image called Sundae Service. Oh' I just adore her and I think she's going to make a lot of great cards. I was so excited to have these fabulous papers from BoBunny( Sweet Tooth collection ) to go with her. I love the colors in this paper and really enjoyed coloring her and making this card. I did follow the current monthly sketch at CLP, tho I had to change it a bit because of the design on my bottom paper, so I hope it's still ok.

Here's a closer view of Sundae...

I used some prismacolor pencils on her to darken the shadows and actually change the color of her wasn't quite right with the copics. I am totally hooked on this technique, it adds wonderful depth and it was tons easier to do the shading under her...I"m sure I'm not the first one to mess that up and it's so nice to be able to erase if you have to :)

Here's the copics. Yep, I used all of them in some way or another...kind of crazy considering it's such a small image.

These are the pencils I used.

930(magenta), 994(process red), 995(mulberry)
To change the color of her skirt to what you now see

1074(French grey), 1083(putty beige)
for shading around and under her

947(dark umber)-hair, 905(aquamarine)-leg warmers

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
